Q: which is better Suzuki Forenza 2008 or Kia Spectra 2008?
I care mostly about long term performance any other informations are wellcomed

A: The Kia Spectra. The Kia Spectra and Suzuki Forenza were tested in the videos section of www.edmunds.com/insideline They were tested against Honda Civic, Mazda 3, Hyundai Elantra, and others. The Suzuki was placed in last place because it had the oldest design. The Kia Spectra was rated the better car.

Q: I totaled 2 vehicles in 2008 how will that affect my taxes?
The first vehicle was a 99 Plymouth Voyager replaced with a 2007 Kia Spectra which was then replaced with a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Each time my auto insurance company totaled the vehicles and gave me market value settlements.

A: If the FMV was more than your adjusted basis, you would have had a gain--this is possible if you used the car for business and had claimed depreciation. If so, you report the sale on schedule D. If the FMV was LESS than your adjusted basis, you don't report anything.

Q: So I'm looking at getting a new car..?
My financial stat right now isn't the best so I can't get anything expensive. I've been to a few dealerships and looked at quite a few diff. cars... right now I'm looking at a 2008 Kia Spectra or a 2008 Suzuki Forenza.. both have under 8,000 miles... I'm just looking for some opinions on the 2 and which you think is the better deal! I reallly appreciate your input! Thanks sooo Much! I've heard that they have stopped making the forenza is this true?

A: stay away from honda as suggested by another person, thats one car i would never own. and go for the suzuki they are pretty good cars

Q: If I was involved in an accident & my lawyer did me wrong, can I sue him? I've already signed papers.?
I was injured in an automobile accident when my daughter & I were out on Mother's Day (2008). The other driver was faulted for the accident & I was the passenger in my daughter's little Kia Spectra. We were T-boned on the passengers side & my head was slammed into the seat belt adjusting mechanism as well as my back was twisted (I later found out that I had an annular tear with few treatment options if any). I was promised by my attorney that his firm had a doctor who would see me with or without insurance & he later said that the doctor no longer accepted patients w/o insurance. My injuries were never treated (after I left the ER) but I did keep an accident journal of what the injuries caused me on a daily basis. When I asked my lawyer if he had received the updated copy of my journal, he said "YES". How could he, I never sent it? He also made the settlement proposal without first discussing it with me, he asked for the $2,000.00 Med Pay that was available on my daughter's insurance coverage, why not the Med Pay coverage from the person at fault? My lawyer also became a doctor over night & told me that he felt that further medical attention for my injuries would not help my case due to the fact that I had a previous condition (brain tumor) and that this would more than likely be used against me. It didn't matter that I was honest about that fact up front & it didn't matter that the side of my head that was slammed into the seat belt adjusting mechanism, was on the same side as the surgery to remove that tumor and that since, I have not had a day where I I haven't had to take prescription pain medicine just to try to dull the pain. The injury site was right on the plate that is in my head. Throughout all of this, I continued to care for my terminally ill mother & she was hospitalized on the 21 of January (2009) & passed away on the 25. Believe it or not, it was during this time that my lawyer called me to let me know that the insurance company of the man at fault had submitted an offer & I was strongly advised to take it. I felt as if I didn't accept this offer, I would be compensated at all. This, based on what my lawyer said to me. We met today and against my better judgment, I signed papers and One of them was the $2,000.00 Med Pay check made payable to me from my daughter's insurance provider, my lawyer said that it was to go to pay the medical bills & that he would pay them. Am I out of luck just because I signed those papers? Is there anything that I can do go after the lawyer for misrepresentation or misconduct or something? He never sent me to a doctor and he lied about receiving the updated journal & he made proposals without consulting with me and he advised me (indirectly) against further medical attention and he went after my daughter's Med Pay instead of the one who was faulted for the accident. What can I do now? Do I continue with my accident journal? Help! I honestly feel as though my lawyer has taken advantage of the fact that I have just lost my mother. He never once called me, I always had to call him. His call finally came the day after I lost my mother and I had called to check the progress of my claim. After he found out about my mother, I had a settlement offer in 2 days. does this sound suspicious? My daughter just reminded me that my lawyer also failed to contact Kia due to the fact that the side impact air bags did not deploy. I did inform him of this in our initial meeting. Maxmom56, I can appreciate your response to my situation but can you appreciate the stress of the situation that I was in at the time in which he finally contacted me? I was the sole caregiver for my mother, responsible for 2 households, a full time college student, constantly in & out of I.C.U. with my mother while trying to survive college & life and then I had my mother pass away. I am aware of the reputations that many believe lawyers have earned and many would say that I found the "cream of the crop" in the one I ended up with, but is there nothing that one can do when they have been taken advantage of in such a disrespecting manner?

A: You are out of luck with regard to your personal injury claim. Once you signed the papers, you put a period on that case. You can't go back and change your mind after the fact. You could potentially go after Kia in a separate action, though. Your settlement agreement shouldn't prevent you from bringing suit against a different defendant. If you believe he didn't represent you adequately, you can report him to the bar association and you could potentially get him into a little bit of trouble but I don't that this is worth your time. I'm sorry you had such a negative experience. One of the more common complaints is that lawyers don't contact them. But I think it was also in his best interest to try to get the most money he could for you . . . because that would have increased the amount of money he would have made, too. And I'm sorry this was happening while you were going through such a tough time, but unfortunately there isn't a requirement that people/lawyers treat you any differently than someone who wasn't going through so many stressful things. If I were to take and investigate your complaint, the first red flag I would note is the fact that you asked the attorney if he had received something you never sent. This sounds odd and I think this would actually be more damaging to your credibility than to his. (And I can guarantee that if the lawyer were to be questioned about this, he would almost certainly say he believed you were talking about something else.) With regard to not getting you the deal you thought you were entitled to? This is a tough one. I've had clients who swore up, down and sideways that they would win their cases despite the fact that I was telling them we would lose. Clients do not have to follow the recommendations by their attorneys - and goodness knows I've had plenty who've ignored my advice. That he made proposals to the other side isn't improper. It would have been better and more professional if he had consulted with you ahead of time, but he couldn't settle your case without your authorization. It does sound that your pre-existing medical status would have made it more difficult for you to prove your damages. I know this isn't fair, but I'll have to be really cheesey and remind you of Tom Cruise's line in the movie Men of Honor: "It doesn't matter what I believe. It only matters what I can prove." I don't know that the timing is suspicious. Plaintiff's attorneys don't necessarily have much control over when an offer will be made.

Q: Does your car sound like this?? ( 09 lancer gts )?
First, sorry about my grammar. I'm foreign exchange student. I bought my 09 lancer gts(MT) on july 2008. It has driven 9000miles so far. I started hearing this weird noise since about 2000miles, and i'm still hearing the same noise. It never happened before 2000miles. The noise is not that loud, but still nerve-wracking. It's hard to describe it. It kinda sounds like small steel ball rolling on a little rough floor. It seems like the noise comes from front part.(somewhere around engine) This noise only happen on 4th and 5th gear from 1500-2000 rpm if you push the gas pedal more than half way. I'm not sure if this is a problem or just normal thing that everycar experiences. Manual cars i've driven so far are kia spectra, pt cruiser, and 08 lancer gts. They didn't make similar noise. I really wonder if there is anybody who has same car as mine experiences same problem.

A: Maybe its your intake filter. If you been touching or fiddling with it than that's where it was coming from. I had the same problem. All I did was just unscrew the two screws on the intake and re tighten everything. Try that first to see. Other than that, I say go to your dealership and see what the problem is and show them. You still have your warranty.

A: HI i have the same car but never happened to me but because it is an 09 it should still have a warranty on it so i wouldn't touch it until you go to the dealership. or else they will blame you and make you pay even more to fix it. well i hope this helped a little
